Ok, so I've posted a while back since I don't have time to trade any more, I went long in SDS (Ultra Short/Inverse) S&P very heavy as it looked like the market overall had no where to go but down.

Well, that has been doing VERY well. I am spending 10 minutes every couple days max, taking some profits on market dips and buying up more on rallies.

Not to mention gold, but that goes with out saying. I'm thinking we see a lot of big up and down moves all the way up to $950. After that, I am looking for either a stall pattern, where I bail except for light holding or for it easily keep running. Either way, time will tell, but my expectations are to get to ~$950 in the next few months.

For Rule #1 specifics though, I picked a couple possible plays a couple weeks ago. I ended up going with Raytheon (RTN).

I'm still on the plus side a modest amount, even after today's hit to the overall market. I will likely add to this position tomorrow.

The things about RTN, despite the fact that it falls in line with my MR1 system as a value play, is that it is relatively recession proof compared to traditional business goods and services. 85%+ of it's business is from the one organization that always pays, even when they go over budget in many cases and never stops giving it business... the government.

You could try to factor in such things the length of the continuation of the war, the elections, etc to ponder how steady that money will be in 5 years... but they have plenty of contracts in the pipeline, new ones coming every week it seems. I would be much more worried about Haliburton and Blackwater types than Raytheon. The defense budget is where most of the national budget is allocated, and that money has to be spent.
